Carol Pence joined the Namesake team in 2005, bringing with her years of experience in broadcast radio, television and music video production. In 1996, Carol began her journey in media at a Louisville area radio station, working as an on-air deejay and producer.

By 1999, she moved on the WLKY-TV in Louisville where she worked in production; she managed studio talent and crew as well as worked in floor direction and camera operation. This led to a freelance opportunity with Lucky Dreams Associates, a company geared toward celebrity interviews and event promotion. As a producer and publicist for Lucky Dreams, Carol worked with artists like Kevin Bacon, Jessica Simpson, Tim McGraw, The Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees and Jaci Velasquez.

During this time, Carol also worked on several sets, including music videos for Britney Spears, *N Sync and Tyrese. On set, she learned from Hollywood veterans like Tim Story (Fantastic Four, Barbershop) and Bille Woodruff (Honey).

In 2001, Carol was named Department Director of Radio & Television Broadcasting at National College of Business & Technology in Lexington, Kentucky. There, she taught students the art of radio production, digital video camera operation and video editing. In her three years at National, Carol continued her freelance work, producing commercial spots for local companies and a concert video for the rock band Saliva.

As the Production Coordinator for Namesake, Carol works closely with all the producers in the development, production and post-production of each film. She contributes to story ideas, works with each film’s budget and production schedule, and helps coordinate many post-production activities.

Carol currently lives in Louisville, KY with her husband.
